Introduction: Over the past 2 decades, mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have become the basis of the emerging field of regenerative medicine due to their self-renewal and multilineage differentiation abilities. Despite treatment advancements, myocardial infarction remains a significant cause of mortality and disabilities. Dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) offer promising regenerative properties for cardiac regeneration. This review aims to assess the improvement achieved by human DPSCs and stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED) in cardiac function, infarct size reduction, and angiogenesis compared to human bone marrow MSCs (hBMMSC) in rodent models of myocardial infarction.es
