Abstract:
This program corresponds to the subject English as a First Foreign Language for the fourth year of Compulsory Secondary Education. It is divided into nine didactic units, and in its elaboration, the models of Bloom's Taxonomy and Merrill's Principles of Instruction have been followed, thus aiming to obtain a teaching based on the competences stipulated by the current legislation. In order to make it more attractive and accessible to all students, innovative methodologies have been promoted, such as gamification and project-based learning, which will help not only in the acquisition of the proposed contents but also in their implementation in daily use and practice of the language. This program is therefore designed for the entire group of students who make up the course, that is, in all their diversity, comprising all kinds of differences, personal, physical, mental, emotional, social… In order to make it more dynamic and attractive, various types of evaluation are also proposed, whereby it is not only the teacher who is responsible for carrying out this task, nor will there always be a written test format in the form of a traditional final exam, but instead, presentations, projects, games, etc. will be used as assessment instruments. In short, it is a fresh program that welcomes all students and whose ultimate objective is for them to be able to cope with everyday, academic and work situations in English with ease.
