This Teaching Innovation Project is grounded in a theoretical framework that emphasizes the importance of Communicative Language Teaching (Thamarana, 2015), the concept of positive washback (Pitoyo et al., 2020), and the motivational impact of connecting English learning to students' real-life experiences (Ott, 2024; Getie, 2020). Within this framework, the most relevant goal of the project is to increase students’ motivation and help them perceive English as a useful tool in their everyday lives. The project is developed in a rural public secondary school with 3rd level students, it addresses a context where learners often view English as distant and irrelevant. To transform this perception, the project incorporates interactive and communicative methodologies, with a strong emphasis on oral competence, gamification, and eTwinning. These elements provide authentic opportunities for students to use English in meaningful, motivating ways. One of the most important conclusions drawn is that assessing the learning process, rather than just the final product, encourages students’ engagement, reflection, and autonomy. This shift fosters a more inclusive and positive learning environment, reducing anxiety and enhancing performance. The implementation of this project is expected to significantly impact students' attitudes towards English, boosting their confidence, fluency, and willingness to participate. It also sets the stage for future innovations that prioritize real-world communication, digital tools, and cross-cultural collaboration.es
