However, it is important to assess that the resin-modified glass ionomer cements are not more toxic than the conventional glass ionomer cements. The aim of the study was to evaluate the toxicity of the RMGICs and compare it to the one of the conventional GICs. The biocompatibility of the materials will also be tested.
