abstract = {ABSTRACT: The use of the different techniques described in this study, which give rise to an Accelerated Corticotomy Orthodontics, in order to induce the Regional Acceleration Phenomenon (RAP), thus decreasing the time of action required, either for a reason aesthetics, or due to a pathological issue, has led us to verify the following aspects: On the one hand, we have observed from the different studies analyzed that the objective of inducing the Regional Acceleration Phenomenon (RAP) occurred in each and every one, thus confirming that the technique used was independent. The main advantages are the reduction of time, as well as the reduction of adverse effects and the healing process, but the cost for the patient himself is increased due to the equipment used. On the other hand, we corroborate the evolution that has been carried out over time in terms of Methodology and equipment, starting from a Flap Orthodontics, passing through Piezocision, Dicision, as well as that assisted by Laser. For this we have carried out a bibliographic review of the most important and relevant studies, through articles obtained from MEDLINE / PUBMED, as well as the CRAI Dulce Chacón Library of the European University of Madrid, among others. After their analysis, the Results and Conclusions were the following: All the studies had longitudinally non-significant samples (which would have been interesting, in order to see aspects such as: the stability of the treatment, possible recurrences, or the vitality of the tooth). Still, we see several commonalities. Among them, we could observe how the orthodontic treatment time was reduced by at least months, compared to Conventional Orthodontics. Such has been the success, that the secondary effects were minimal, and that all treated small populations. The only downside to them was always the cost.},
abstract = {La utilización de las diferentes técnicas descritas en este estudio, las cuales dan lugar a una Ortodoncia Acelerada por Corticotomía, con el fin de inducir el Fenómeno de Aceleración Regional (RAP), disminuyendo así el tiempo de acción requerido, bien por una cuestión estética, o por un tema patológico, nos ha llevado a comprobar los siguientes aspectos: por un lado hemos observado de los diferentes estudios analizados, que el objetivo perseguido de inducir el Fenómeno de Aceleración Regional (RAP), se producía en todos y cada uno, constatando así que era independiente la técnica utilizada. Como principales ventajas, tenemos la reducción del tiempo, así como la reducción de los efectos adversos y el proceso de cicatrización, pero se eleva el coste para el propio paciente debido a la aparatología utilizada. Por otro lado, corroboramos la evolución que a lo largo del tiempo se ha llevado a cabo en cuanto a metodología y aparatología, partiendo de una ortodoncia con colgajo, pasando por piezocisión, dicisión y asistida por láser. Para ello hemos realizado una revisión bibliográfica de los estudios más importantes y acordes, a través de artículos obtenidos de MEDLINE/PUBMED, como también la Biblioteca CRAI Dulce Chacón de la Universidad Europea de Madrid, entre otros. Tras su análisis, los Resultados y Conclusiones fueron los siguientes: todos los estudios tenían muestras no significativas longitudinalmente (las cuales hubieran sido interesantes, a fin de ver aspectos tales como: la estabilidad del tratamiento, posibles recidivas, o la vitalidad del diente). Aún así, vemos varios puntos en común. Entre ellos, pudimos observar como el tiempo de tratamiento de ortodoncia quedaba disminuido al menos en meses, respecto a la ortodoncia convencional. Tal ha sido el éxito, que los efectos secundarios fueron mínimos, y eso que todos trataron poblaciones pequeñas. La única pega en ellos siempre fue el costo.},
